we are field work.

We're not just in the business of making films; we're in the business of making films that matter. Why? Because let's face it, there's enough mind-numbing content to fill a black hole. We're here to break the mold and give your brain a workout it didn't know it needed.

At Field Work, we don't just chase after projects for the sake of adding more noise to the already cacophonous world of media. We have standards, and we're not afraid to flaunt them. We're the rebels with a cause, and that cause is a sustainable, inspiring future.

Our films aren't just pretty pictures and catchy soundtracks. No, no. We're in the business of storytelling with a purpose. We believe in narratives that linger in your mind, not just fill it.

Beginning with films including The Ground Between Us and All Bodies on Bikes, Field Work exists at the forefront of branded documentaries. Our films have been screened at 100+ festivals including SF Doc Stories, Santa Barbara International, and Mountainfilm, and we’ve been fortunate to work with a client list that includes The North Face, Shimano, Patagonia, REI, and Red Bull. We work directly with brands and agencies to cut through the noise, resulting in award-winning films including All Bodies on Bikes for Shimano, Chains of Habit for Mountain Hardware, and Made in the Mitten for Burton Snowboards.

Our ability to blend documentary filmmaking with brand values, while traveling through some of the world's harshest environments, most recently led to our film Apayauq qualifying for the 96th Academy Awards and premiering with the Los Angeles Times Short Doc slate of films.

  • Branded work is in our DNA. Aligning brand values with real life stories and characters is old hat for us. Our branded content has been screened on four continents, received numerous Vimeo Staff Picks, and has garnered hundreds of thousands of views across all channels.

  • Whether it’s fifteen seconds or sixty, we know how to strike a chord with audiences.

  • The stuff that keeps us going and the reason our credit card companies love us. We cut our teeth in docs and have traveled the globe, from the interior of Alaska to the peaks of the Karakoram in pursuit of character driven stories.
